    Kali Eskrima este un termen general pentru a defini artele martiale filipineze. Sunt grupate tehnici de lupta cu bastonul, cutitul si alte arme cu lama dar si alte arme improvizate. Sunt incluse si lupta cu mainile goale sau tehnicile de dezarmare. Un alt termen sub care sunt cunoscute artele martiale filipineze este cel de „Arnis” ce-si trage radacina din spaniolul ames care inseamna armura. Termenul „Eskirima” vine din adoptarea in limba aborigenilor a cuvantului spaniol esgrima care inseamna scrima. Kali este un termen relativ nou (inainte de 1960 nu a existat) si a fost folosit la inceput in SUA si Europa, fiid acceptat in timp de practicantii de Arnis.

    Kudo is a mixed Budo sport comprising full contact punches, kicks, throwings, and submission techniques on the ground.

    Kudo has its origins in Kakuto Karate (Combat Karate), but It is not just a mixed fighting with emphasis on competition side. It is a life-long sport, system for youth education, method of self-defence and health maintenance for adults. Along with this elements it stresses the "Reigi" or respect and etiquette in its tradition. In this sense it is a "Modern Budo" that has already spread in more then 60 countries around the world.

  • Shinkyokushin

    Shinkyokushin kaikan is a style of stand-up, full contact karate, founded in 1964 by Masutatsu Oyama who was born under the name Choi Yong . Shinkyokushinkai is Japanese for "the society of the ultimate truth." Shinkyokushin is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. Its full contact style has had international appeal (practitioners have over the last 40+ years numbered more than 12 million.
    Shinkyokushin has influenced many of the "full-contact" schools of karate, emphasizing realistic combat, physical toughness, and practicality in its training curriculum. Many other martial arts organizations have "spun-off" from Shinkyokushin over the years, with some adding additional techniques, such as grappling, but continuing with the same philosophy of realistic and practical training methods.
